This Makita Pad Saver sits between the multi-tool’s delta sanding pad and the abrasive sheet, protecting the pad itself from wear as sanding sheets are changed over and over. Without it, the hook and loop surface of the pad gradually wears down with repeated sheet changes, eventually needing the whole pad replaced rather than just the abrasive. Supplied as a pack of two, it’s a small, inexpensive way to extend the working life of a delta sanding pad on a multi-tool.
